From my first inquiring phone call to meeting with Deborah for over 2 hours I was impressed with the professionalism of both her husband, Louie, and Deborah. The appraisal was such an amazing one-of-a-kind experience. Deborah’s knowledge of gemology is truly superior. She performed the appraisal right in front of us, while educating us on the jewelry pieces and offering insightful advice. Deborah’s passion for her work is apparent. She is the consummate professional.

My fiancé and I had to get her ring appraised, so we scoured the internet and found Deborah. We didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised when we met this incredibly beautiful spirit. Her energy was so contagious, warm and welcoming that any fears that we may of had were put at ease as soon as we sat down. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She explained our diamond from the cutlet to the table and handled it with extreme care. I impressed by the intricate knowledge of her craft and how much she love she put into detailing the fine points of our stones. In a day where people thrive off of money they can make she thrives off of how knowledgeable she can make a customer confident about their purchase. Now don’t get me wrong, she has a no nonsense approach, and let’s you know that she is not there to inflate your ego or the price of your stone. She has integrity, something that is missed and much needed in the industry. She is an expert at defining the beauty within a stone, never using textbook jargon that confuses or alienates a customer from the inspection process, Deborah invites you into her world, and at the end you are grateful that she allowed you in.

Deborah took one look at our ring and said BEAUTIFUL! That is what you want to hear after you have spent countless nights researching and dealing with jewelers who may not have had the best intentions for your pockets. I exhaled a sigh of relief after she confirmed that I chose and paid wisely. The paperwork that was given to us incorrectly identified the stone, the next step was going to be court, but it turned out to be of more value than what it had listed for! Deborah was happier than we were! I felt like popping champagne! To put our minds at ease she added what she called a fingerprint to our stone so that if we ever had to take it to a jeweler for repairs, and it was swapped, we would know it. Who knew? It’s like having a security device on your ring! I could go on and on and on, but what I have to say next is most important, she connects with people. She is a great human which makes her more valuable than any stone she has ever appraised. Thank you so much for the conversation, the laughs and the protection Deborah you are one in a million!

Deborah is the best appraiser on Long Island and one of the top five in the world. She knows her stuff. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to have the jewelry appraised.
